Cirdan Capital Management is a London-based fintech company that looks for new ways to do finance. Their main area of activity is the provision of investment solutions to asset managers, wealth managers and other institutional clients.
The project was born out of the necessity to align the company image with the audience typology, offering the one item so vital to the business - confidence. Another thing that needed improving was the user interface for the stock management operations used by the company's clients.
We were asked by Cirdan to redesign and implement their presentation website as the first phase of a larger project. The next phase of the project consisted of redesigning and implementing the stock management interface used by the company's clients.

After fully defining the project brief we started putting together some graphic elements in order to illustrate potential design directions. The stylescape that came out of this work has helped greatly in exploring directions and setting up some solid marks for the work to come, as well as sharing our design vision with Cirdan.
We set the design direction towards clean, solid colors and shapes, yet bright, that would attract the viewer's eye, further inviting to read the content. The bold headings support the company's statements regarding the work they do, the way they do it and the values that go in all that work.
The main goal of the website is to communicate with their clients, either they know the company for some while or they met Cirdan at some point. The website acts as a detailed business card, providing all there is to know about the Cirdan work and company.
Though the website is directed towards the existing clients, it doesn't ignore the users that first come across the company.
The homepage has a straightforward information hierarchy. The website navigation is simple and clear, allowing for easy browsing the website pages. As the user starts browsing and scrolling the pages, he can switch from a page to another with no need to return to the main navigation whatsoever.
Users that have an account and are familiar with the company can easily log in right away by accessing the main navigation of the website. Once they access their dashboard, they can further choose what asset to manage.
The challenge with this project was to understand the fintech industry: how it works and which are the principles it uses. It was a whole new world of which some of us knew little and others just have heard of.
The research phase at the beginning of the project, as well as the many meetings we held with our client's team, allowed us finally to step into the users' shoes and understand their needs.
